MDG were appointed by Claremont Property Group to undertake a feasibility study on the conversion of the existing Nightclub and Bar into apartments. MDG located the site and introduced Claremont whom purchased the property following a brief feasibility period which also included options for a full retail environment on the ground floor.
On analysis, and owing to the location of the site, it was decided that a full residential conversion, albeit retaining the existing small retail units to its Market Street elevation, would be the most appropriate and in keeping. The refurbishment incorporates 14 studio, 1 bed and 2 bed apartments including car parking and an amenity provision.
MDG secured planning for the scheme provided the detailed technical drawings to enable the development to move to site. Construction began on the apartments in January 2020 with a new client following the sale of the site by the previous owner.
